Hibiscus lambertii. An evergreen shrub with dark green foliage bearing rich, dark red, double, carnation-like flowers from late Spring on wards. Best grown in a sheltered position with full sun or light shade where soils are suitably moist, fertile and free-draining. Give a light trim during early Spring to help encourage new growth. May be grown in coastal locations. Grows to between 1.5m and 1.7m in height.
