Typical 38% Dolomite Lime is used by adding it to your soil that requires both calcium and magnesium which is important for your plants.  The Dolomite lime helps with raising soil pH levels, allowing more nutrients to become available for plant. Avoid using lime around acid loving plants – Rhododendrons and Camellias.
